75 minute massage from Kirsten Free (Petrolia-Honeydew area)! I've studied at Esalen institute in Big Sur, Transformational Bodywork with Fred Mitour, Reiki 1-3, Breath work with David Elliot, Richard Bock, and Perry and Johanna Holloman, and some Thai massage. I weave these together but mostly focus on Esalen style Swedish massage, which is a very relaxing massage using long flowing strokes that help to release tension and promote relaxation and the bodies natural ability to heal. The massage may then incorporate some deep tissue massage, stretching, and joint mobilization to address specific areas of tension. Each session is 75 minutes.
A note from Mattole Restoration Council: Help our community-based nonprofit obtain a beautifully restored 1908 home for the Mattole Resilience, Education, and Research Center!
The Mattole Restoration Council board and staff are elated to be partnering with local architect and builder Jim Groeling to purchase his beautifully restored 1908 home in Petrolia to serve as the home for the Mattole Resilience, Education, and Research Center. This historic home site links directly to 83 acres of land that we are acquiring for conservation. Together, the two purchases will provide a breathtaking natural and built space for our organization to pursue its mission and carry out projects to conserve and restore the land, create an interpretive trail network, and host the Mattole Resilience, Education, and Research Center.
The Mattole Resilience, Education, and Research Center aims to create lasting economic, ecological, and cultural resilience in our remote rural watershed community. It will do so by conserving open space for public use, and hosting collaborative field-based education, research, and workforce development opportunities to deepen understanding, appreciation, and conservation of the Mattole River watershed and the adjacent Lost Coast’s outstanding natural features and biodiversity.
