***Mattole Valley bidders only!*** This item requires pick ups in the lower Mattole Valley by the winning bidder *** We are gathering together some of the Mattole valley's best producers to bring you farm to table fruits, veggies and more. A little about our Cooperative CSA Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way to buy local food directly from the farmers of the Mattole Valley. Your purchase is so much more than just a weekly box of food. Our CSA is a powerful investment in your health, community, and local economy. It’s a partnership between farms and consumers that keeps independent businesses and individuals thriving, it helps families eat fresh, seasonal, local produce, and charges farmers and consumers with the responsibility of building a strong, equitable food system. When you enter into this relationship you are preserving working farmland, supporting sustainable agriculture, reducing trucking and packing costs, carbon output, and keeping farmers on the land. Together we are investing in our collective future! Let us help eliminate your drive to town for fresh veggies! The Wildcat CSA works for you, local agriculture, and the environment. Four CSA boxes from Wildcat CSA! What's in “The Box” We curate each week’s box with an attention to detail that ensures a well-rounded eating experience, kitchen staples, plus a little fun and diversity to mix things up. Boxes will typically contain fresh fruit, salad & cooking greens, fresh roots, fresh herbs, something from the brassica family (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kohlrabi), cucumbers and/or zucchini. The contents of your box will reflect the changing seasons.

A note from Mattole Restoration Council: Help our community-based nonprofit obtain a beautifully restored 1908 home for the Mattole Resilience, Education, and Research Center! The Mattole Restoration Council board and staff are elated to be partnering with local architect and builder Jim Groeling to purchase his beautifully restored 1908 home in Petrolia to serve as the home for the Mattole Resilience, Education, and Research Center. This historic home site links directly to 83 acres of land that we are acquiring for conservation. Together, the two purchases will provide a breathtaking natural and built space for our organization to pursue its mission and carry out projects to conserve and restore the land, create an interpretive trail network, and host the Mattole Resilience, Education, and Research Center. The Mattole Resilience, Education, and Research Center aims to create lasting economic, ecological, and cultural resilience in our remote rural watershed community. It will do so by conserving open space for public use, and hosting collaborative field-based education, research, and workforce development opportunities to deepen understanding, appreciation, and conservation of the Mattole River watershed and the adjacent Lost Coast’s outstanding natural features and biodiversity.
